Problem

The problem focuses on the complex and frustrating bureaucratic processes encountered by citizens when dealing with governmental procedures within the EU. These processes often lead to a significant waste of time and a decrease in citizen satisfaction, undermining the sense of European identity.

Research

Research involved detailed surveys and interviews with European citizens to understand their daily interactions with bureaucracy. This phase utilized Design Thinking methodologies to gather comprehensive insights about the bureaucratic challenges faced by individuals across different EU countries.

Findings

The findings revealed a clear correlation between bureaucratic inefficiencies and reduced citizen satisfaction. Most participants expressed frustration over the paperwork and unhelpful encounters with administration, which significantly affected their sense of belonging and identity as Europeans.

Solution

The proposed solution is the Euro ID, a digital platform that centralizes and simplifies all bureaucratic processes. By using advanced technology like facial recognition and secure data storage, the Euro ID allows citizens to manage their interactions with European bureaucracies efficiently, enhancing security, privacy, and user satisfaction.
